FuTuRE MissiONaRY!

The other day we noticed (while getting ready for church) that the only church outfits that we had for a little newborn boy were summertime jumpers. So needless to say I needed to buy an outfit for Taylor to wear to church (we had gotten by the following Sunday). While looking in Fred Meyer I found an already marked off clearance rack and got this cute little set for approx $6.00. He looks like such a little man!

Taylor is the sweetest little guy and fits in so well, he is already such an important part of our family! He is already 4 weeks old today, and seems to be growing up so fast. He really is such a good baby and is constantly being smothered by love from his siblings (Literally)!!

This week in Sunbeams, Payton came home with a small cup with a seed planted inside, and was so excited to see it change. In his bedtime prayer, he prayed that his plant would grow bigger. This morning I heard Payton's bedroom door open and shut, so I got out of bed to see what he was up to (he usually just plays in his closet until I come in to get him). So I first checked his entire room and he was not there. Then I heard noises coming from McKenzie's room so I checked there and she was wide awake but no Payton. Then I yelled "Where are you Payton?", and a little voice from downstairs hollered back, "My plant's not bigger yet". I think he was thinking that Heavenly Father would answer his prayer overnight. I am sure he will be thrilled when he really does see it start to grow. He is so smart and is learning the new primary songs so well, he even knows a few more of the words then we do! McKenzie is a total girl and loves to get all PreTTY for church. It is so fun to see the difference in each child.

As far as the adjustment to 3 kids goes.....

...I am actually doing good. Some days when I sit back and think about it I say to myself (I am actually doing it). The biggest struggle is getting in and out of the car when I go places by myself, or where to put all 3 kids and any groceries I may get when we are shopping! Do I put McKenzie or Taylor in the front part of the cart, where do all the groceries go so that they don't get smashed, and will Payton stay close? These are just a few of the questions I ask myself before attempting to go into any store! Payton is quite the helper at times though and is learning to stay by the cart (until he gets side-tracked).

The other day while I was out, I stopped at Papa Murphy's to get some pizza for dinner. With the car seat in one arm and Kenzie in the other and Payton by my side I struggled to open the door to enter the store. Not until they were preparing my pizza did I think of how I was going to carry that as well without looking like I obviously needed another set of arms (which isn't a bad idea), and I don't really like to ask strangers for help. I told Payton and McKenzie to hold hands and walk with me to the van (surprisingly they do well at sticking together when they help each other) while I carried the car seat and balanced the pizza on the other hand, hoping that our dinner would not topple over onto the ground. Where is Mckay when I need him, oh well we made it and the pizza was great as always. At times I have gotten chuckles from others as they see me in passing. I am not sure if they laugh because one of my children just made a funny face or because they see I have my hands full. I wouldn't have it any other way and I love being a mom! I will say it is nice to go shopping with Mckay around to help though, and I think he appreciates what I do when I am by myself!

Time Flies When You're Having FUN!

This must be especially true for the past 5 Years!!! I have no idea where the time has gone, but yesterday marked Mckay and my 5 year WeDDinG AnniVeRSaRy!! If we didn't have 3 kids to show...I would be doubting this were true. I truely did marry my BEST FRIEND. Mckay was able to get away from work a little earlier then usual so that we could go to a fancy dinner together at THE MELTING POT, while my mom watched the kids and put them to bed for us (thanks again mom). It was great to spend some quality time together and enjoy each others company, as well as remember all of our fun memories of the past 5 years together. Mckay is the best husband and father I could ever ask for and works so hard for our family. We all have been missing him a lot lately and look forward to his phone calls and when he comes home (even if it is basically just to eat dinner, help put the kids to bed, and maybe watch a quick show before we too hit the hay). I look forward to when tax season is over and we can have him back more often. What were we thinking, getting married in the middle of tax season?? Oh well! Mckay makes me so happy and I look forward to spending many more wonderful years together. I LOVE you Mckay!
