It feels like we were just wrestling... a year has passed and we are starting up again. Taylor was up and down about making the decision to wrestle this year. He is good at it, however, it is such an emotional sport and Taylor is already rather competitive. After going back and forth Taylor decided to do it again.
Getting ready for his match. I can see Payton's hat in the corner of the picture. He is one of Taylor's biggest fans and wants his brother to succeed.
Go Taylor (Grandpa, Asher, and Payton are at the bottom of the picture)
My family were actually here for this meet as well since some were in town for Taylor's baptism the next day. It was a treat for Taylor to have so much support!
This year we hope to learn better sportsmanship through wins AND losses!
Taylor working hard!
This kid Taylor was wrestling knew a lot of moves and although Taylor lost he is learning more with these experiences. (Later this boy would take first at State for 8U 46 LBS and Taylor took 2nd.)
They are a good match up and fun to watch.
Taylor gives it his all!
This sport is growing on us all!
Getting ready!
Serious stuff!!
Taylor was pleased to get a medal at the Simms meet. It sure cheered him up after a couple of losses.
While wasting some time at the thrift store we found some funny things including some new headgear for wrestling!
Payton decided to join Taylor for the remainder of the season. They have a great relationship!
Taylor is a natural.
He is quick and fast and knows a few good moves.
Way to go Taylor!
Payton is so strong!
He continues to improve and learn more all the time.
Payton is also fun to watch!

Wrestling a classmate, Lane.
Pinned!
Now he is wrestling Wyatt from his church class.
Payton's signature move is the cradle. Once he does it is is sure hard to get out of.
Gavin playing at wrestling practice.
Great team and coaches.
I love that they get to do this together!
Makes for some great memories!
Taylor will be on to State while Payton will cheer him along since he didn't make it to enough meets in order to compete in State. I think he could have done well but joined the team late and had a few other commitments that kept him busy in addition to wrestling. No worries, it was still a fun experience for the boys!
