Potty Training Interest

Gavin has taken an interest in leaning to go in the toilet.  He has actually had some success and that makes me thrilled!  One morning he went to the bathroom to get some toilet paper and clean up a mess...
I guess he forgot to tear it off and brought more than needed!
Funny story about this jersey that Gavin is wearing:  One morning Gavin freaked out when he saw Taylor wearing an almost identical jersey as he was getting ready for school.  They both got them for Christmas and Gavin thought Taylor was wearing his and instantly lost it and wanted Taylor to take his off.  I had to show Gavin that he had his own and then Gavin had to wear his Denver jersey that day too.  He is getting a mind and personality of his own!
Way to go bud!
It took Gavin a while to learn how to hold up two fingers to say that he was 2, he is mastering it now!
This is another shirt that Gavin likes wearing since we make it a big deal when he puts it on.  This was actually a shirt Sarah gave me because it was Mckay's as a little boy!
Silly little kiddo!

Girl Time for Kenzie

McKenzie was happy to be invited to Riley's birthday party with a bunch of girls.  We ended up going to a wrestling meet for Taylor that evening and she was nearby hanging out with friends.  She had a blast!
Paige, Riley, and Kenzie have become good buddies!

Scouting Boys

Taylor could barely wait until February 15th since it was his first day of Boy Scouts!  He has been waiting for this day for a LONG time.
Almost ready to go to Scouts!
Taylor was able to practice some archery at Scouts.
Looks like he had fun shooting.
Nice!
They all look good in uniform!
With 3 sons we will have a lot to do with the Scouting Program.  On February 22nd it was Payton's first Court of Honor and he was rewarded several badges and has been working hard.  Mckay was one of the speakers and Taylor is just starting out and very eager to earn his Bobcat soon.

Presidents' Day= Play Day

Most of the family had to take off and head back home.  The Roos family was able to stay a little longer and we took advantage of the company and the cousins had a blast playing together.
Kenzie on the rope swing while some of the other kids were waiting in line.
Brielle's turn to swing!
Oh to be a kid again!!
Gavin was running all over the place and thought it was awesome.  (The girls are in the background.)
Big boys on the rock wall.
Fun times!
Kenzie and Payton climbing.
Having a great time.
Cute little Brielle!
Brielle and Gavin thought this was fun.
Later we grabbed some lunch and went to the park to eat and feed the ducks.  The kids loved this part, they can sure go through old bread fast!
Gavin and Brielle swinging.  It was nice to be outside again.
Then a stop at Cold Stone to top off the fun day together.
It was a great day!

Taylor's Baptism

One Sunday afternoon we slipped outside really quickly after church to snap a few pictures for Taylor's Baptism.
Handsome Taylor was so excited for his big day!
Looking sharp in a suit and tie.
I feel like this picture captures his excitement!
Cute quote.
This was another Sunday during the Baptism Preview.
Our family before Taylor's Baptism.
Taylor had an interview with the Bishop earlier and also made sure to invite as many ward members as possible...HA HA!  We hope great things for these kids!
Happy family!
Dad and Taylor all dressed in white.
Dad, Mom, and Taylor
Taylor is a great kid and we sure love him.
Another family picture with Dad and Taylor dressed in white.
It was a special day for our family!
Earlier that day we had both sides of the families over for hamburgers and other yummy food as a later lunch once Mckay was off of work (Tax Season).  The weather was great and it felt like the first BBQ of the year.  So fun!
I love us!
My parents brought Kaden up with them to spend this time with Taylor. They are 2 months apart and Kaden was also baptized recently.
I had Mckay take a "WET" (perfect) picture, just after the Baptism.
Our cute boy!
Mckay held Taylor under the water a little on the long side (he did this with Payton as well).  It is their thing and makes them feel special!  We were so grateful for Taylor and his decision to be Baptized.  He shared his testimony and the program was nice, it was a precious day.  After it was over we shared a dessert of brownies and a Sundae Bar with toppings.  Taylor is all about the dessert!
Taylor, you are on the right path and we hope you continue to make good choices and follow the Savior's example.  You are a blessing in our lives!

2nd Wrestling Season

It feels like we were just wrestling... a year has passed and we are starting up again.  Taylor was up and down about making the decision to wrestle this year.  He is good at it, however, it is such an emotional sport and Taylor is already rather competitive.  After going back and forth Taylor decided to do it again.
Getting ready for his match.  I can see Payton's hat in the corner of the picture.  He is one of Taylor's biggest fans and wants his brother to succeed.
Go Taylor (Grandpa, Asher, and Payton are at the bottom of the picture)
My family were actually here for this meet as well since some were in town for Taylor's baptism the next day.  It was a treat for Taylor to have so much support!
This year we hope to learn better sportsmanship through wins AND losses!
Taylor working hard!
This kid Taylor was wrestling knew a lot of moves and although Taylor lost he is learning more with these experiences.  (Later this boy would take first at State for 8U 46 LBS and Taylor took 2nd.)
They are a good match up and fun to watch.
Taylor gives it his all!
This sport is growing on us all!
Getting ready!
Serious stuff!!
Taylor was pleased to get a medal at the Simms meet.  It sure cheered him up after a couple of losses.
While wasting some time at the thrift store we found some funny things including some new headgear for wrestling!
Payton decided to join Taylor for the remainder of the season.  They have a great relationship!
Taylor is a natural.
He is quick and fast and knows a few good moves.
Way to go Taylor!
Payton is so strong!
He continues to improve and learn more all the time.
Payton is also fun to watch!
Payton working on a pin.
Handshake!
Wrestling a classmate, Lane.
Pinned!
Now he is wrestling Wyatt from his church class.
Payton's signature move is the cradle.  Once he does it is is sure hard to get out of.
Gavin playing at wrestling practice.
Great team and coaches.
I love that they get to do this together!
Makes for some great memories!

Taylor will be on to State while Payton will cheer him along since he didn't make it to enough meets in order to compete in State.  I think he could have done well but joined the team late and had a few other commitments that kept him busy in addition to wrestling.  No worries, it was still a fun experience for the boys!
