When the house is too QUIET...

Yesterday I was busy doing a few things and getting ready for church and all of a sudden I remembered that McKenzie and Taylor were upstairs and that it was way too quiet for them to be playing with toys in the bedroom. So I called for Kenzie and there was no answer, and then I quickly booked it upstairs to find this...

That's right, McKenzie had gotten into my makeup and had given Taylor a small makeover. She thought she was in big trouble when I found out, but instead of getting mad, all I could think about was: what Taylor was doing durning all of this...had he really just sat so still for her while she played "Artist" on his face.

OH kids...sometimes even when they are caught doing things they probably know they shouldn't, they are cute doing it! Makes me want to enjoy these moments and take a picture because someday I WILL look back and miss ALL of THIS!

Also the other day we went on a field trip to Krispy Creme and had a fun time eating too much SUGAR! (Even though Kenzie and Taylor are wearing the same thing as above it was a different day.)

Kenzie and Taylor waiting for their doughnuts!

Payton getting ready to see the whole process. Today he started a fun Playschool at the High School and had a great time! I just have to mention how much I love this not-so-little-anymore BOY. Payton is the best big brother, and will do anything for his younger siblings. If Payton is playing with something that Taylor wants, all Taylor has to do is say, "Please"...in that sweet little voice of his and Payton just can't say no! I think he would even give Taylor the shirt off his back. There is nothing quite like the love of a sibling!

Taylor is 2

Just a special post all about our little Taylor. He is such a happy little guy and such a HUGE part of our happy FamiLY! Yesterday was Taylor's 2nd Birthday and we had a small family party after Mckay got home from work, with pizza (one of his favorites), presents, as well as cake and ice cream! Taylor has always been a pretty easy going baby and has a fun-loving personality. I think that it is amazing how much kids change from year to year, so I thought that I would show a few pictures of Taylor growing up (Way TOO Fast).

Baby Taylor snug as a bug.

Taylor's 1st Birthday!

1 Year Old
On to his 2nd Birthday! He had fun opening presents as Dad and Mom tried to hold the other kids back so he would have a chance on his own. For some reason he found it most helpful to open them using his teeth, which his siblings thought was hilarious.

Taylor has really taken a liking to Despicable Me, it is one of his favorite movies the kind that he will just sit and stare through most of. We didn't have very much luck finding Despicable Me TOYS, so I made a different type of cake this year and Taylor loved it!

Once Taylor saw the candles lit he started singing his own song. I guess he has been to a few Birthday parties. He really wanted to touch the fire and came close several times.

Blowing out the candles.

Getting ready to dig in!

Cake + Ice Cream = One HAPPY 2 Yr old!

Just a few fun facts about Taylor:

  • he is constantly making his family laugh with his silliness
  • he is a pretty good little talker and surprises us all the time with the new things that he says (when he opened a toy nerf gun that he got, he started saying "bullets")
  • he is a pretty good little eater and likes a good variety of food
  • he loves to sing and dance, especially to "Once there was a Snowman", and he yells TALL, TALL, TALL
  • he can be the softest and sweetest little boy and then he occasionally will strike with a hit or quick tug of the hair (we have been teaching him to be soft)
  • he loves his daddy and will run for the door yelling "DAD" when Mckay finally gets home
  • he loves phones and constantly says he wants to "Call Some buddy" then proceeds to talk to an extended relative or daddy
  • he is a happy boy and is loved by everyone in his family
