March 2020 (Pie Day & St. Patrick's Day)

March means busyness with tax season, hopeful changing of seasons, as well as kids and their fun schedules.
Brielle and her 3rd grade class went to sing at the Community Hall.  It is fun to watch her do these kids of things.  (She is in the gold flower shirt).
On March 14 (3.14) we try to take advantage of PIE Day as an excuse to eat a slice of pie...yummy!
Like I said....hopeful changes in weather.  I know all too well that snow is still very likely in Montana in March.
We also look forward to a visit from the sneaky Leprechaun and never seem to catch him in our trap, however, he leaves a few fun things for the kids to enjoy!  Some of the kids are already wearing their green in hopes of not getting pinched.  Happy St. Partick's Day!

Taylor's Dedication to BSU

When Taylor sets his mind to something he is unstoppable!  This time it came with a strong desire to buy a BLACK Boise State Jersey!  His heart was set on earning enough money to get himself one and so he was ready to be hired for jobs to reach that goal.  He even approached his Grandparents about work they might have.  They were running low on their wood stack on the deck and Taylor went to work loading that thing up one armload at a time and by himself.  Alone this takes a while and is a good workout (as a family it takes no time).
He felt accomplished after working so hard!
Way to go bud!
After earning some money we looked around for the perfect jersey and actually found one on a new website.  It was even just the right amount (it was a great deal and happened to be what he earned for working hard)  He was so excited to get this cool jersey in the mail!!  It will remind me and hopefully Taylor as well that many things are possible once you set your mind to it!  GO BSU!

16 Years of BLISS Together!

For our Anniversary we snuck away to Helena for the evening to try out a new restaurant called Hokkaido.  It has yummy sushi and Ramen bowls.
Mckay was in heaven!
I’m so lucky to have married my best friend and to be on this journey hand in hand with him!
I can’t imagine my life without him and all that we’ve built together.
Happy 16th Anniversary Mckay!

Winter 2020 in a Nutshell

We have been busy keeping up with the kids and getting through another tax season.  Here are a few things we have been up to:
While some friends were tied up, they asked us to take care of their puppy.  This was a delight for the kids and they had a blast doing this and giggling at this cute little puppy.
Some relaxation in the jetted tub, swimming suits and all.
We bought Dick’s old car that was fixed after hitting a deer.  This will hopefully make a great little car commuting back and forth to work.
While running errands, Gavin has developed a favorite place to stop for an occasional lunch.
A HAPPY Meal for a Happy little boy.
Brielle was doing her own homework and helping Max when he was here.
Brielle and Charlotte had fun baking this giant cookie together...YUM!
These girls like helping in the kitchen.  Here they are shredding some carrots.
Sisterly love!
Gavin and I spend time together doing preschool. I love this time we share!
These two are great buddies.  With all of the dr appointments Cynthia has to attend, I spend a bit of time watching the other Roos cousins and they have been able to bond.
Snow piles melting into the sunshine.
Makes for some outdoor fun.
We scored and purchased this awesome sectional.
Our family sure loves it and it is awesome to spread out and have a nice seat for everyone..
Makes for some nice family movie nights.
Gavin has gotten into building legos.  He got a cool farm set from my parents for Christmas.
He looks pretty cute and I love to see him learn and grow.
McKenzie was invited to a girl birthday party/spa night at Kamree’s.  It is such a blessing to have good friends.
Nice glasses bud!  Gavin is such an easy going kiddo to run errands with.
Payton took an elbow to the face durning recess basketball.
It was pretty sore and we ran to an urgent care to see if there is anything we can do.  Not much to do with a possible broken nose so we are just taking it easy and making sure things don’t get worse for Payton.
Taylor is dying to earn a bit of money.  He spent some extra time making this poster extra neat in hopes of winning the contest at the school.
We are eager to hit the trails and mountain bike as soon as the weather allows...Gavin even fell asleep sporting his gloves. I love this little boy and holding his precious hands!
My heart always melts seeing my children fast asleep.
When my parents come to stay Gavin loves that they seem to leave him a tip for letting them take over his bed.  It started as a surprise and now it’s a bit of a running tradition... so cute and much appreciated!
Working away in the kitchen, I sure hit the jackpot when it comes to hubbies.  He loves to dig in and cook with me on the weekends. I sure love him!
We make a pretty great team. Here we are making a new family favorite, fried rice and egg rolls. It is a joint effort but we all love this dinner.  When you live out of town with not a lot of good Chinese food nearby, you get good at making your own.
Gavin still loves the PJ Masks. Oh to keep them little and in this dressing up phase...sigh.
I believe this is a picture of Brielle’s Keep Montana Green poster, great job sis!
One afternoon I watched Easton while running a few errands. Gavin had fun helping and playing with a little buddy.  We had a fun lunch at Cafe Rio.
A better picture of our sectional....love it!
Poor Gavin caught a flu bug.  It’s hard to see the kids not feeling themselves.
Brielle shared the same germs and was under the weather too.  It sure makes me thankful for good healthy days.  This is part of our winter in a nutshell.  We are looking forward to SPRING.
