A Wonderful Weekend

We left on Wednesday after work and school was out and headed to Rexburg for Wade and Maren's Wedding (Thursday morning).  It was fun spending the evening in Rexburg.  We checked out campus at BYU-Idaho, ate as a family at Wingers, swam in the hotel pool, and got ready to go to the temple the next morning.

Handsome Taylor playing on the Temple grounds.  He is such a character!
These boys were pretty much inseparable.  Which made them easier to watch...you only had to find one of them and the other would be nearby.  Just playing, wrestling, hiding in secret hideouts, etc.
Brielle and McKenzie.
Cute sisters...I love my girls!
And my BOYS too!!

The Happy couple.  We are so glad these 2 are married!

Our kiddos!
Will it ever get easier to get a decent picture of all the kids at once?
Brielle looking at the pretty flowers.
McKenzie looking pretty.

Lindsey, Maren, Megan, and me.  It was a fun weekend with these ladies!

The cousins with Aunt Maren, unfortunately we were missing Bret and Megan's kids this weekend.
Crazy kids!
Being silly now.
McKenzie loves spending time with her Grandpa.

After the wedding we headed to a pizza buffet for the luncheon.  Then we hit up Walmart, the Dollar Tree, and the BYU-Idaho Bookstore before heading the rest of the way to Montana for the weekend and later the reception.  The time with family flew by, as it always seems to be the case.  We prepared for the reception, rode 4 wheelers and golf carts, pet horses, jumped on the trampoline, wrestled and played with weapons, played with cousins, and enjoyed some family time.

Taylor at the reception, one of the few moments he was not wearing his Batman mask.  He got quite a few comments and laughs, but this kid didn't mind one bit.  It is a small price to pay to be the "Good BATMAN"!
We had a great weekend with family and friends!!  Congratulations Maren and Wade!

A Time Out

September 7th and 8th my mom, Michelle, and I went to Time Out For Women.  Cynthia had just had a baby so she was a little busy at the hospital, but we did sneak her away to eat lunch at The Old Spaghetti Factory.  It was a lot of fun to get away and do something uplifting with my mom and sisters.
Michelle, Mom, and me at the conference ready to hear Hillary Weeks and the other inspiring speakers.
Off at a lunch break with my mom and sisters!  It was delicious!!
Me, Mom, and Michelle
We had a great time and always look forward to doing it again.  It is just nice to get away and think about things I can work on to improve my own life.  Then I can return home and hopefully put into practice some of these things!  Thanks Mckay for taking such great care of the kids while I was away!

Labor Day Weekend/ Last Boating Trip

On Labor Day Mckay and the kids had the day off.  We took advantage by going to a brand new park the kids have been wanting to check out.  Mckay was not feeling the greatest so then we rented some movies and enjoyed a nice day as a family.
McKenzie on the new equipment.
Payton climbing.
Taylor's turn!
Little Brielle thinks she is Big too!
Have I mentioned that this girl LOVES swings.  She lights up and giggles while kicking her feet.  It is pretty precious how much she enjoys it.
Loving Life!
These kids love parks and could go there every day.
It was a great weekend and great to spend some time together!
The last weekend of August we also took one last boating trip with my family.  It is something the the kids look forward to, but at the same time it is sad to see our SuMMeR coming to an end.
Brielle chilling in the Sun with MOM!
McKenzie grabbing a bite to eat.
Me and my girls!
Grandpa driving the boat that has lasted our family for many good years.  Payton is in the back with the Dudley family!
Relaxing in the shade after skiing and knee boarding.
Payton playing on the beach with cousins.
Then we added a new little cousin to the mix!  Cynthia and Dean had their little guy Maxwell Dean Roos the 4th of September!  He is a cutie!
Taylor giving Max a hug.  We will be watching baby Max when Cynthia goes back to work and Taylor is pretty excited.  He was ready to do it right then and there!
Love it!  The kids have been so cute in their prayers as they prayed that Max would be okay.
We are happy he is home and healthy now.
This is before he had to spend a little time in the NICU, when I met Mckay for lunch break with the younger 3 kids to meet Max.

Birthday Boy (Dad)

On September 1st it was Mckay's Birthday!  I swear the kids get just as excited for anyone on the family birthday as their own.  I think they know it is a special day and are looking forward to celebrating it as a family.  McKenzie is like a little alarm clock and usually gets up a little before we wake her.  This particular morning she came into our room and we were still in bed resting, since it was a Saturday and Mckay didn't have to work that day.  The first thing out of her mouth was "its your birthday"!  It was pretty cute.  For Mckay's Birthday he had one thing on the brain... and that was Sushi Ya!  This is probably his favorite restaurant and I've never been able to go there with him.  So a sweet friend of ours babysat the kids while some family and friends met us for lunch.  It was a lot of fun and so entertaining to watch Mckay loving to eat these exotic foods.
My mom took this picture: Lane, Jared, Mckay, Me, Dean, Cynthia, and my Dad.
Ready to eat!
Me and Cynthia who LOVES sushi, but resisted the urge since she was due any day.  We thought Baby Max would share a birthday with Mckay, but he had his own plans and decided to come on his actual due date.
The Birthday Boy!
Then we grabbed the kids and headed out to do a little shopping.  I did get him a few BSU things, but there were a couple other things that he needed to pick out.  I hope he had a fun day and knows just how much he means to me and the kids!!
Brielle is sure growing up and talking a little more.
Then the next day we partied again and had a Butterfinger poke cake, ice cream, and a family BBQ with some yummy bacon wrapped chicken.  Mckay has become quite good at smoking different food and always loves to try new things for others.  It is nice because it gives me a little break from most of the cooking for the day, although there always seems to me plenty of clean-up!
Happy Birthday Mckay!!!  We love you so much!
