Blue and Gold Banquet

Taylor had a Blue and Gold Banquet we attended as a family.
Gavin helped Sarah and I decorate before hand and was happy to take a couple of balloons off our hands.
It looked great when we were finished (Sarah did awesome).  The food was fantastic and we had a good time.
Taylor received several awards including his Wolf.

Taylor Wrestling as a 3rd Grader

This is Taylor's 3rd year wrestling.  He is a natural at this sport although I think at times he actually doesn't LOVE it.  His nerves get the best of him and he works himself up before the meets.
Taylor works hard to do his best at wrestling and knows a lot of cool moves.
He is very quick and it sure is fun to watch him.
We love to cheer him on.
It seems to be a long time in the gym, only to see Taylor wrestle a couple of minutes total.
Gavin wanted me to take a picture of a small scrape he had, this kid loves to look at the pictures on my phone.
I guess Taylor is teaching Gavin young (Gavin is wearing Taylor's singlet).  Siblings are the best!!
Gavin, Kenzie, and Brielle were ready to cheer Taylor on to State as we had a small assembly for the wrestlers after they weighed in. (I think Payton was a little under the weather that day.)
Bummer it's blurry, but here is OUR Taylor!
I am so happy to have him in our lives!
He weighed in for State and barely made it over the 50 pound weight class.  That means he was wrestling with kids usually a bit bigger.
Go Taylor!!

This season Taylor did great!  He went undefeated all season long and then went on to wrestle some great kids at State and lost out.  Taylor worked so hard this season and we couldn't be happier about his performances!
Way to go Buddy!

Valentine's Day 2018

A day of LOVE!
Here are a few of the Valentine's activities we did:
Kenzie went with a cute FOX BOX for her school Valentines box.
We decorated sugar cookies while the cousins were in town.
Gavin had fun with this!
Payton was happy to come home from school and decorate/EAT sugar cookies!
Taylor thought it made for a perfect after school treat!
Delicious McKenzie!
Brielle had fun decorating her cookies as well.
Payton's Valentines box was a basketball court with a hoop that says, "Shoot me a Valentine".
Brielle made this Valentine hat at school for her Valentines.
Taylor also got to work on and finish his Valentines box at school.
When Mckay got home from work we had a yummy fancy dinner as a family and exchanged a few simple Valentines with each other and the kids.  These are the loves of my life, they make everyday life and holidays wonderful!
I love our life TOGETHER!!

Gavin's Love for Movie Characters

Gavin loves collecting movie figurines!  It makes me smile. I don't always buy him things when we are out shopping around but this particular day he happened to run into Lion King stuff (which I hardly ever see), so I caved and bought it.  He was being so good (he is one of our easiest kids on the go and while out shopping).  For Christmas he is already asking for an astronaut helmet like the one Auggie uses in the movie Wonder.  Oh GAVIN!
It kept him happy while were were eating lunch with my mom, Cynthia, and her kids...WIN WIN!

Taylor's 9th Birthday!

Taylor is already 9 years old, how is that even possible?!
He is such a fun kid and we woke up and ate one of his favorite breakfasts (Chunky Monkey Pancakes) before heading off to school.  Right now Taylor is a busy kid as he is participating in both wrestling and basketball at the same time.  It is nice that they are both not overly involved and he can balance it all.  He is having a good time staying active.
Breakfast of champions!
Taylor opened one of his presents in the morning before Mckay headed to work and the kids were off to school.
He was pretty excited about his new basketball shoes.
Cute kid!
Taylor was sure hoping, I think he even prayed, for a snow day on his birthday since we got dumped on...no such luck.
I think Taylor still felt special, although I still don't think he likes the idea of having his birthday during the school year.  We took cookies to share with his classmates.
After school we were ready to party!!  We headed to the swimming pool to swim and relax in the hot tub with the birthday boy!
Payton is taking good care of Gavin on his back with Max (who was in town with Cynthia and my mom who were here to visit Dean also-he is working with Swensen Company during this tax season).
It is so nice to have big helpers!!
Braxton and Gavin dipping their feet in the warm tub.
After swimming we grabbed a few things at the store and headed home for Taylor's request, Papa Murphy's for dinner.
Time to open the rest of his presents...a card and some cash from my parents and the Roos family.  He was in heaven!
It was funny to watch his reaction and he felt so rich!
Grandpa and Grandma gave him a sweet basketball.
Birthdays are fun for everyone!
Taylor is a sweet kid!
He has genuine reactions to the gifts he was given and I think he felt so special!
Ummm, if you know Taylor, it is no secret he loves all things peanut butter!
So peanut butter pies and ice cream were for dessert.
Looking good!
Fun times with family.
Blowing out the candles.
Taylor approved!
We sure love our Taylor!  He is seriously one of a kind.  I appreciate his desire to do good!  He is great at memorizing things (the 13 Articles of Faith is one of them).  Taylor loves his family and we love him.  One of his hesitations about playing sports is that he wants to spend time as a family.  I am glad he feels that way and has that as one of his priorities.  Taylor does well in school and we enjoy cheering him on.  He is a confident kid and is easy to love.  One funny thing about Taylor is his love for food...he actually eats pretty slowly and I think that is because he seriously enjoys it.  We wouldn't change a thing about Taylor and are so lucky to have him in our lives!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUDDY!!
