Daniel and Erin's Wedding

Today is Daniel and Erin's big day!  We traveled down to my family's the night before the wedding.  Just in time for the guys to hang out at a party Daniel style: a BBQ with steaks and other treats, and a night skeet shooting.
Gathering with family and friends.
Dean, Max, and Taylor (and the little girls) helping themselves to some strawberries.
Happy to reunite with cousins!

Time for the guys to do a little shooting.
Brielle and Aubrey having fun with the dog.

Then it was time to get ready for the wedding at the Boise Temple the next morning.
The kids all waiting to see the bride and groom.
The pretty girls.  It was fun getting these cousins back together again!
These girls are sure cute!
Handsome boys.
Sweet!
The happy couple.
Bombarded with kids.
My parents with the newest couple in our family and the last sibling to get married.

Happy Day!
They look so happy!

A quick picture of us while waiting around.
Hey...looks like everyone is at least looking!
Brielle was getting a little restless and ready for some lunch.
Sweetheart
Kenzie striking a pose.
Payton wanted to take a picture of Mckay and I.
Not too bad...we will take it since we are hardly ever in pictures together!
Brotherly love.
I sure do love this guy.
Brielle loved all the pretty flowers at the temple.
Congrats to Daniel and Erin!!

The next day it was a mad rush to get everything ready for the reception that evening.
Lots of cooking to do in the kitchen.
What a busy/fun day.
Finally taking a moment to sit down.
The kids had a great time hanging out and catching up with their cousins.
Everything turned out beautiful for the evening!

Summer Fun 2014

This summer sure has been a busy one!  But it has been one full of great family memories, life changes (as we are getting ready to move into our home in Montana), and some much needed time just being together!
Payton and Brielle having fun on one of the many car trips.
Taylor and Kenzie being buddies.
Payton's birthday is fast approaching and I think I may know something both boys may enjoy.  They have really gotten into playing basketball together at grandma and grandpa's.
We are loving the weather and have spent a lot of time being outside.
Isn't this what the LAZY DAYS OF SUMMER is all about?
Oh and it sure is a challenge keeping up with the haircuts...especially the boys!  But they sure do look sharp when they get one.
Hey good looking.

I wish I could slow this summer down.  It is crazy how fast it seems to be flying by.

Quilt Tradition

Having a quilt made out of jeans is sort of a tradition/keepsake in my family.  It seems like I loved getting to use my parents for fun family trips up to the lake and other occasions.  It pretty much stayed in the back of the suburban, ready for its next use.  My younger brother Daniel is getting married at the end of the month and my mom asked if I would finish their quilt that my grandmother had started making a while back and just hadn't finished.  So I took it home to Montana with me after one of our visits and finished it all up.  I also made a matching hot dog stick holder to go with it.  Hope they like it as much as we have enjoyed ours.  Mckay loves taking ours camping and whenever he is a bit cold while sleeping this would be a blanket he would love to throw over us will all of its heavy warmth!  Such fond memories made from the scraps of old, unwanted JEANS.

Yoga With Grandma

This is just one of the many fun things we've been able to enjoy while living with Dick and Sarah.  Yoga with Grandma!!  Once the kids were out of school they occasionally joined in on her morning workout.  It was quite the sight!
Kenzie, Grandma, and Payton (the other two were hit and miss).

Phillipsburg

Time for another quick visit to the cabin.  It was a busy weekend as the men were pretty tied up the first day we got there, due to a massive delivery of all the wood kits a couple large trucks brought to the cabin.  The large trucks were unable to make it up the whole way and that required a lot more loading and unloading before we could even get all the wood up to the other cabin area.  It will be neat to see the progress as the new cabin gets underway.  After a long day of work/play for some...we headed to Phillipsburg for a yummy dinner at the cute little BBQ joint in town.  Then we went back to the cabin and put our tired kiddos to bed and just hung out.

The older cousins were begging for a sleepover in the loft and the parents agreed.  It took a little bit to get them all to settle down and close their eyes for the night, but once they were asleep they were all pretty much adorable.
Payton, Kason, and Kenzie getting ready to hit the hay.
Asher and Taylor being silly.
For some reason Payton opted out of the sleepover and just wanted to go to bed downstairs with Brielle, and later Mckay and I would join them.  They are so cute together.  Payton is a great big brother and is anxiously excited for the arrival of our next little guy.  I have a feeling he will be a HUGE helper!
Sleepy heads

The next day we ended up going to the cute wooden park in Phillipsburg.  The kids just love it there and spent most of their time playing different games together.
One of those games included the bad guys who were taken prisoner and locked up by the police.  Here we have Brielle and Payton in jail.
Of coarse Brielle loves a good push on the swings.
Asher locking Payton up.
Some of these faces are pretty intense.  Everyone was having a good time!  It made for a fun weekend getaway.
