Last week Mckay had some time off from work and we decided to take a vacation to Montana, since we have not been there in a while due to being pregnant and having little Brielle this summer. Our vacation started with off with a BANG though... 
We had just gotten to church in Fairfield and had sat down in a bench waiting to begin, when Taylor fell forward and split his head open on the bench in front of us. I knew as soon as I heard him hit that it was going to be bad, so I passed off Brielle and scooped up Taylor to get out of the chapel before the scream. As I was taking him out I glanced at his head and saw blood everywhere, man heads can bleed a LOT! I went in the kitchen because I knew Mckay would be somewhere behind me and he couldn't go in the women's restroom. After washing off some of the blood we noticed that it was pretty deep and debated for while if stitches were needed. There happened to be a nurse and other helpful moms there so we put butterfly bandages on him to see if they would do the trick. Taylor was such a trooper through the whole thing and kept thanking everyone who was helping him. He was also telling others who would ask about him that "It is Gaping" and "It is pretty deep", guess he had overheard a few conversations, but it was funny to hear those phrases coming from a 2 1/2 year old.
I am pleased with how well he was leaving the bandages alone (someone put a Band aid on his hand to distract him from the real problem) and at how well the cut is healing. It is looking much better now and I am hoping that the scar won't be very noticeable in the future.

We also ate lots of yummy food and had our fair share of meat (Mckay doesn't think it is a full meal without the meat)!

The kids also loved their glow sticks from Grandma and Grandpa.It seems like the time in Montana with friends and family always goes by way to fast. We always look forward to the next visit.

She is a good little girl and usually only wakes up once a night, (if at all) to eat and go right back to sleep. We sure love having Brielle be a part of our family.

I think it is so cute to see how tired little ones can get and the positions that they fall asleep in.
