Improvements

I am glad to say that March is almost over. I am so ready for SPRING, which also brings nice weather-which in turn will hopefully bring better health for our family. Not to mention the end of tax season (probably the biggest reason I am ready to end March). We are all ready to have Mckay around a little more!
This month Brielle has learned a few new tricks. She now can sit up for a while on her own, although she still can be a bit tipsy still, so it is good to have someone else near by. She is not quite a crawler yet but she finds ways to get from place to place. She will roll several times in a row or even scoot a little here and there. She is getting in the crawling position too which is so cute and just makes me realize how fast she is changing and is no longer an infant anymore. I can't believe she passed her 8th month mark...CRAZY!
I finally got window treatments! I have been wanting to spruce up our living room windows for quite a while but was a little unsure of what I really wanted so here are the before and after pictures...
Before
After
At the beginning of this month I was telling Mckay that I was so happy that our family has been so healthy this winter. I learned my lesson for saying that because only a few days later... Kenzie was hit hard. She could not keep anything down for a couple days and after a visit to the doctor and a pill to stop her from vomiting, I thought she was on the mend. Then she began running fevers and still sleeping a ton, and not really having much of a desire to eat or drink much, she also had mild dehydration. Taylor and Payton only had a fever here or there, and Brielle as well but she was also in the midst of getting a couple new bottom teeth. I felt like everyone in the house was coming down with different symptoms and I was grateful that Mckay and I were at least able to escape the sicknesses. But poor little McKenzie was hit the hardest!! She was sick for nearly 2 whole weeks, and was getting skinner and more bony each day. I was missing my little girl and her personality, and it was sad when she kept asking me when she was going to get better. All of these germs made for a long month, and McKenzie missing a few days of preschool (she is in a co-op with me and a few other moms/kids in the ward, and she started a Playschool at the Kuna High School that is only 9-10 weeks long, and taught by students). Just as we were getting comfortable again and feeling great, she started getting fevers again for the past couple nights. What is going on with my little Kenzie? Another trip to the Doc to find out she has a sore in the back of her throat, and Brielle in her mouth as well, which is probably the cause of the fevers. I am crossing my fingers that they are on the mend AGAIN, and that we all stay healthy for a very long time, I need a break from all these worries! On a lighter side: McKenzie just loves to color! She is such a perfectionist though and used to get mad if she went out of the lines and ruined her perfect picture. This is something we have tried to work on before kindergarten. I will admit though she is pretty good at coloring. Using scissors is the same reaction, when she gets off the cutting line she gets upset with herself. It is hard for me not to giggle when she has these reactions, oh the joys of being a mom!
Payton and Taylor are the best of friends. Well actually all the kids play well together most of the time. It is so rewarding to hear them getting along and being nice. Taylor has really been into puzzles and playing with Payton's legos. I know that Taylor really looks up to Payton and loves having him around, it has been nice to have him home for Spring Break!
Here is a cute picture of the way Brielle puts herself to sleep by sucking on her bottom lip. She is so precious, there is nothing quite like a sleeping baby!
Now Bring on Spring!!
