Halloween Festivities

This year the kids dressed as the cast of Little Red Riding Hood.
Just plain luck to find this wolf costume for Taylor at a local thrift store!
The kids have been getting more into playing games recently.  Taylor has always loved the game Sorry.  I sure enjoy spending time together!

Pumpkins were on sale at Rex's Market and so after school we hopped in the car and went to pick out pumpkins for the kids, Mckay was still at work.
Ready to pick out their own pumpkins to carve.
Brielle's looks perfect, that smile melts my heart!
Another fun morning we went on a hay ride after story time at the library.
Natalie and Brielle were having a blast!
Even Gavin enjoyed going along for the ride.
Isn't she the cutest Little Red Riding Hood?!
Oh and Granny was quite fun as well.
Two Wolves, Granny, Red, and the Woodsman.
Our fun crew!
They make me laugh.
It seems as if each character is the perfect part for their personalities!
Red and the Wolf at school, getting ready to head to the assisted living center for some Trick-or-Treating.
Gavin was just trying to stay warm and enjoy a snack.
This old lady didn't really want to wear her wig at the school party.
Payton had fun playing BINGO with his classmates.
Time to dig in and get the guts out.
Thankfully the kids are getting older and like to help out with this process.
Taylor and Mckay ready to carve Taylor's Jack-O-Lantern's face.
Payton was set on doing his by himself.
Brielle loved her scary pumpkin.
Even Kenzie wanted to try more of the carving herself.
Well done!
They are each so unique and so are their pumpkins.

On Halloween evening we headed to eat at a friends and then it was off to the community costume contest.
Brielle and her friend Katie.
Mckay and Gavin.
Taylor got 3rd place for his age group.
Looking great.
Since McKenzie was a Grandma and Hunter was a Grandpa, we just had to snap a picture of the two of them together.
Ready to head out Trick-or-Treating with friends.
Oh to be a kid again...
Gavin enjoying a sucker while riding on the golf cart with Mckay.
We have been known to crowd the golf cart at times!
It was a great evening and the kids sure got a loot of treasures!!

First Pheasant

My handsome hunter holding his first pheasant.  I love that Mckay enjoys hunting as a hobby and I can't wait to see him sharing these moments with his kids (he already takes the older boys out on occasions), heck...I think I'd like to come along more often too!
The Good Life!

Gavin Turns ONE!

First Birthdays are super fun!  It sure has been a wonderful year having Gavin in our family.  He is loved and adored by us all, and I think he knows it!!
Looking cute in his camo pants and orange vest, not to mention that hair...sigh.
This face gets me every time...it tells me he is sly and oh so mischievous.
He crashed on the go and snuck in a quick little nap!
Later that evening we headed to Swensens' to enjoy birthday dessert with Sarah too.  It is cute that Gavin shares his birthday with his Grandma!
Getting ready to play with fire.
He got his very own cupcake!
He didn't quite grasp the concept of blowing out his candle, although he did try to touch it!
On the other hand, he totally understood what to do when it came to digging in to his cupcake.
It was LOVE at first taste!
What a cutie!
Gavin was in Heaven!
Grandma and Grandpa gave him a cute new church outfit.
Getting the hang of unwrapping.
A car from Wade, Maren, and Boyd.
He is all BOY!
I love those little hands and his happy face.
So curious.
Payton must be watching something on the TV.
Boyd likes to pull hair.
Handsome Taylor.
Gavin's big present from us was this Rody horse.  It teaches balance and coordination.
Looks like he loves it.
I'm sure there is a BSU game on, since everyone seems to be decked out in their gear, at least we made time to play with this Birthday BOY, who adores Dum Dums (it doesn't help that the older kids get them from our Bishop after church and then they get a kick out or sharing them with Gavin).
What a great picture of our little ONE Year old.
He has seriously been such a great baby!  I feel so blessed to be his mother.
Life would certainly not be the same without our 5th addition!
Counting our blessings...
Even his sad face is cute (I can't even remember what made him upset in the first place, perhaps he was a little tender after a few shots?).

Here are Gavin's 12 Month Stats:

Weight:  18 Pounds 3 Ounces (7%)
Height:   28 1/4 Inches  (4%)
Head:  46 Centimeters  (46%)

Gavin has been a wonderful 5th child.  He is a pretty good little sleeper.  He is mostly easy going until he just needs a moment of space from a few older siblings who only want to be up close and personal.  Gavin loves most foods so far, what a blessing.  He melts my heart with those BIG BROWN eyes.  Although he can't quite walk yet, he is becoming more and more mobile each day as he improves in crawling, pulling himself up to furniture, and walking along as he holds on to something.
