We are Stumped about the Bumps

This CUTE little guy has had us a little concerned lately.

For about 2 weeks we have been wondering what is wrong with little Taylor's head. One evening he was running around playing and tripped on the floor but mostly caught his own fall, I just turned in time to see the end of it. He cried a little and it seemed pretty minor, just like other falls and accidents that little ones have along the way. I don't remember seeing any bruises or anything caused by that fall so I am having a hard time thinking of any other causes that would make these bumps appear. I remember rubbing his head at 4:00 AM on March 8th, as I checked on him in his sleep, like I normally do when I wake up at night, I noticed that his head felt different then before and I even mentioned it to Mckay in his sleep. I wondered if his soft spot had healed funny or if the small accident had caused this. As time went on Mckay and I began to worry and wonder what these bumps were (he has 4 total: the obvious one on his forehead, but there are 3 more in his hair line in the shape of a triangle). These bumps are hard like a bone and don't move. I tend to think that the fall is just a coincidence and not the real cause of these unknown bumps because there is not bruising either, I think they just appeared on their own and I have been racking my brain thinking of possibilities. After a blessing, prayers, and a week or so of waiting and wondering, we made a visit to our Pediatrician. She felt his head and at that point she too was confused and wanted to get a second opinion. So Doctor #2 came in and had the same reaction. They have not seen this before and then the Dr called a Neurologist for his opinion on the matter. He too had no answers and they all seemed Stumped about the Bumps on my baby's head. At this point they didn't want to do any x-rays or a CAT scan yet, she said it would be like Taylor getting a full year of sun all at once (I was okay with that too because I don't want to hurt or damage him, especially that close to his brain). He shows no sign of pain and will let anyone rub and examine his head without complaining, so I don't think that they hurt. On another good note he is the same little boy as always. He sleeps great, he eats the same, talks great, and is his regular fun-loving self. He also recently moved into Payton's room and both Brothers and loving it and doing great with the transition, the first night or two he seemed to want back in his room. Payton was so sad to know that Taylor didn't stay in his room the entire first night, but after I told Taylor that the crib is where the baby will sleep, there has been no turning back and naps are great as well. It feels weird to have a vacant room in the house for another few months but I am so happy they sleep so well together. So anyway, back to Taylor...at this point we were sent home still confused and wondering, but told to not lose any sleep at night--RIGHT! Now we are to watch and see if more appear on his body or if these seem to change in size then we need to go back in. They also suggested for us to take baseline pictures to compare with if needed. Mckay and I sometimes wonder if they have gone down a little, but we shall see. I am hoping that they will disappear as quickly as they showed up. I have debated putting this on the blog, but I use this for our family journal and it has been a concern of ours lately... so I thought that one day I might be able to look back at this and remember some of our recent feelings.
