A Touch of ColoR

Well it has taken me a little while but I finally mustered up the courage to PAINT! When we first moved in to our home I didn't want to touch the clean walls and liked the way they looked, and I still do but I was longing for a little bit of COLOR. I also had to decide on some color schemes. After a trip to Home Depot and a day of work later here are the results.
The Before

The After

Payton was begging to help me paint and was so excited to try it,
now he wants to do his bedroom!

Of coarse I couldn't have done it without my special little helper! (The other 2 were napping, thankfully!)

I am pretty excited with how it turned out. I kept going in that bathroom several times that day just to take another peek at it. I mentioned to Mckay that I was needing something to do and was finally ready to do some painting. So after work we went and bought some paint and various things to paint with. The next day while he was at work I finished the whole bathroom. Now I have caught the painting bug and I am working on painting all of the doors inside as well as the trim! Our walls are a tan color and I am painting the trim white. It is a huge project but it has been fun too. Mckay is getting pretty busy at work and stays later at night (yeah, the dreaded Tax Season has hit again...it feels like we just finished this time of year and now it is here already). Oh well, I guess I will have plenty to do to get me through the long days of missing my hubby!

3 Little MonKeY's

Monkey #1 (Payton)
He is a little dare devil and the leader when it comes to trying new stunts and goofing around!
Monkey #2 (Kenzie)
She may be small but never underestimate her abilities. She wants to do everything Payton does and can't ever be left out of the ACTION!
Monkey#3 (Taylor)
He is small and beginning to explore what the world has to offer him. The other day I was upstairs and he was down (or so I thought) but then when I went to go downstairs to check on him, he had already made it to the top stair...I am serious --just the other day he would only try one, maybe two stairs. But now he thinks he has mastered them and won't leave them alone (I have to keep a close eye on this little guy).
The kids are getting a little stir CRAZY here since we haven't spent much time outdoors running around and using our energy. Although we have had friends over and play dates and such. We also go to the library for Music and Movement classes and Art/Story time. Needless to say they have become creative with other ways to get their "wiggles" out! There is never a dull moment with little ones around.
They look so sweet and innocent in this picture (and they are) but watch the videos below for their other sides!
Warning......Don't think I am a neglectful mother!

Just like the song says ..."3 little Monkeys jumping on the bed, One fell of and Bumped it's head". That would be McKenzie and she has a little bump to show for it, but I think I was well worth a good laugh and a little enjoyment!!

McKenzie is such a girl and loves to dance,

I might have to sign her up for classes in the future!

I don't know how to turn this around but this is Taylor practicing walking.

Life is so busy and fun with my kids and I LOVE IT!!

ChriStMaS 2009

Christmas morning was so exciting at our house...the kids were eager to see their presents! The kids were still not awake by 8:00 due to a late Christmas Eve party and Grandpa and Grandma's, so we decided to wake them up.

As you can see:
McKenzie is still a little sleepy and Payton can't stop smiling as they wait to see their stockings.

Opening their stockings.

Taylor attempting to open his presents, although he got a lot of help from his siblings this year!

McKenzie's turn to open a present.

A miniature version of the "Man in RED"...Taylor in his Santa undies and hat, he is such a cute and happy little guy!

The Behind Shot!

Our little Princess!! McKenzie had an all Girl's Christmas with dress up things and more! She wore blisters on her little toes from her dress up shoes!

Payton on the other hand is all "BIG BOY"...with Transformers, Football, Cars, and more!

Playing with his new loot!

This year Mckay and I didn't know a single gift of ours. It was exciting to not know what we got each other and to see the expressions as we opened them!

Of coarse I had to get Mckay some new BSU gear to wear during the Fiesta Bowl tonight...
(GO BRONCOS!!!)

Taylor was so funny with his new toys and was literally dancing and breathing so heavy as he was so excited to explore something new!!

It was such a fun day and now the kids are at such fun ages, and Mckay and I were more excited to see their expressions as they open their gifts that we had to keep reminding each other to open some of ours! I am a little bummed that it is all over and wish that it hadn't gone by so fast. Can't believe that it is 2010...Happy New Year!
