9 MonThs & CounTinG

Last week Taylor turned 9 months old...I can't believe it (he is growing up so fast)! Just a few quick things about this little guy...

1. He has 3 TeeTH, I think pushing #4 soon.
2. He has begun to crawl and for the longest time would do little push-ups and just roll to get from place to place.
3. He is a bit of a Momma's boy (if I am in the room he wants me for the most part, but I think when I am out of sight...I am out of mind).
4. He is super at putting himself to bed, I feel so lucky! All I really do is lay him in bed and walk away, after a quick KiSS that is!
5. He is a ticklish little guy and loves to play with his family members.
6. He is a pretty good little eater.
7. He likes his Binky but will do just fine without it, he will suck on it if it is there but doesn't beg for it if it is gone either (this is a good sign and maybe I should take it away now before that changes).
8. He is a sweetie and such a great addition to our family!

Here are his 9 Month Stats:

• Weight: 16 pounds 10 ounces 5 %

TOO MANY APPLES!!

A few weeks ago I got a few boxes of apples for 10 cents a pound!! Okay so at that price I did not know what quality of apples to expect but I ordered 250 pounds anyway...so only $25 and I got 40 something quart jars of apple sauce, tons of dried apple chips, and 12 or so jars of pure apple juice. These apples were HUGE and sweet (Some were bigger than softballs). Mckay even took a few shooting for target practice. I did some canning with Liz, my sister Michelle, and my Mom. My kids just love APPLESAUCE and I am pretty sure that we are set for a few years! It feels great to get a few things building up in my food storage, and was fun to can with a few ladies!

HaLLoWeeN TraditioNS

We love decorating sugar cookies...so this month we had some friends over and the kids got to decorate their own Pumpkin sugar cookies!! It was fun to see what they came up with and how they would plaster their cookie with sprinkles and candy!

Another fun tradition of coarse is carving Pumpkins. We always do this the Monday evening before Halloween for Family Night!

This year Payton picked a tiny pumpkin and wanted it to have a happy face!

This year McKenzie picked her own pumpkin too and wanted a large one and scary face on it. Kind of the opposite then I was expecting!

Then you can't forget the good ol "Trunk or Treat"! But before that we had a Jack-O-Lantern pizza from Papa Murphy's (yet another tradition that we have adopted)! Is it just me or is it extremely hard to snap that perfect picture of their costumes...They were so interested in everything else going on and didn't look at the camera long, but this is what I managed to get anyway!

Then after Trunk or Treat we went door to door! This year their cousins joined them in the fun...but as I said pictures are scarce because they were always on the run! It was cute to see the group together. There were a few houses where no one would answer the door and the kids would turn and say no one's home, they had this Trick-or Treating thing down!!

Tink showing off her candy, she always looked at what she got and was well pleased until...we came to a well decorated house and she received the SCARE of her life. We have never seen her run so fast! When our group of kids approached one specific door their was a Pirate skeleton that became activated and began dancing all around! One look at this and all four children were freaked (I wish I would have had got it on film)! McKenzie tore off running and was done Trick-Or-Treating after that!

We have been having a lot of fun lately and time is just flying by (still can't believe that it is November already)...before you know it it will be Thanksgiving and then Christmas!! We LOVE Holidays around here, and I already have the itch to decorate but am holding back for a little longer at least!!
