Gavin is my little helper while the other kids are at school. I cherish this time with him.
Making cookie dough.
He is all smiles while helping me cut out sugar cookies to decorate (this is something we love to do all together when it is close to Halloween).
The kids love decorating and eating sugar cookies and they are one of my favorite as well.
I love different traditions during the various holidays. They are just the thing to make time together while adding to the memories each year.
Payton enjoys sampling the goodies too.
Taylor covered his in sprinkles.
Yummy!
Gavin is so sweet and loves spending time with his family.
Brielle is always right at home doing anything in the kitchen...she is a great helper and this is her happy place.
Cute Kenzie ate hers quickly.
Such a fun evening together.
Gavin finally gets to sink his teeth into a hard earned reward.
Another Halloween tradition of coarse is carving PUMPKINS:
Gavin is not sure he likes touching the slimy mess.
Kenzie getting hers cleaned out.
Way to go Brielle.
Makes for a fun evening as a family.
Payton digging in while sporting some vampire teeth.
Taylor is at it too.
Mckay gets involved too and was helping Brielle to cut out the design.
I am behind the camera and also helping with all the little needs along the way. Gavin and I were teaming up.
Now Gavin is making a letter for Mckay and he is dressed as Gekko (he still loves PJ MASKS).
Taylor went for a unique Spiderman theme.
Doing great buddy.
Payton chose a Batman logo.
Kenzie chose a lamp like the one on Aladdin.
They all turned out awesome.
Gavin and I crashed a couple Halloween parties at the school. Taylor's class had a simple costume party so we made an appearance.
Spiderman and Gekko.
Then we headed to Brielle's classroom and spotted a cute Dorothy.
Some of the kids are getting older and this may be the last time a couple of them want/or decide to go Trick-Or-Treating. That sure makes me feel old as my crew is growing and changing all the time.
We've got Goofy, Dorothy, Spiderman 1 and 2, and a red M&M.
Getting their wands at the community trunk-or-treat.
This was a huge hit.
We have enjoyed watching Harry Potter as a family so the wands were so fun for them.
Kenzie's turn.
Payton and Taylor got in on the action as well.
The kids with their unique wands.
It is always rather chilly in Montana on Halloween night. We bundle up and make the most of it.
Back at home we got pictures of the finished pumpkins.
All the kids from oldest to youngest (left to right), Gavin helped to carve out Forky from Toy Story 4.
Brielle checking out her loot.
Payton enjoying some candy.
Gavin had a great time and ended up with a lot of goodies too.
Kenzie had a nice night and is pretty easy going. I tell you what...Kenzie can make her candy last a long time. She enjoys a little here and a little there.
Taylor was all smiles with all this candy!
Both Taylor and Gavin have been dressing up and playing together, good buddies!
We have a fun system on Halloween night. After dinner we head to the trunk-or-treat to start and then we drive along while one of us is on foot with the kids going from house to house, making sure to hit the houses the kids know are good ones to hit!
Happy Halloween to my cute crew!
